Photos: New ear headbands revealed for Disney Parks Designer Collection
The Disney Parks Blog has revealed new designs for the Disney Parks Designer Collection of Mickey ear hats and Minnie ear headbands – all designed by celebrities, designers, Imagineers, and artists.
These next designs will be rolling out over the next few months:
Releasing this Friday, July 5, will be these gold Minnie ears designed by Alex and Ani. Engraved on the sides of the headband are the messages “follow your path” and “listen with your heart”.
At Walt Disney World, Ever After Jewelry Co. & Accessories in Disney Springs will host an event with Colleen Fugere vice president of Brand Licensing and Partnerships at Alex and Ani, from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. to celebrate the release.
Coming on July 26, a classic Mickey ear design by Disney artist Noah will honor the one who started it all, Walt Disney, along with his best pal Mickey Mouse. For Disneyland locals, Noah will appear at Disneyana in Disneyland park to sign his ears on July 26 and 28 from 12-4 p.m. and on July 27 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Next month, fans of the Haunted Mansion can get their hands on a Minnie ear headband designed by Disney Imagineer Kim Irvine, best known as the Art Director of Disneyland park and the face of Madame Leota in Haunted Mansion Holiday, just in time for the attraction’s 50th anniversary. These ears are reversible, with the front featuring the famous fortune teller herself.
The headband will be available at the Disneyland Resort on Aug. 9, Walt Disney World Resort on Aug. 10, and online at shopDisney on Aug. 12. As a bonus, this design will be available to purchase early at “The Haunted Mansion: Celebrating 50 Years of Retirement Unliving,” a separately-ticketed event on Aug. 7-8 at Disneyland Resort; and at Disney Villains After Hours, a separately-ticketed event on Aug. 8 at Walt Disney World Resort.
A Princess Leia Bun-inspired Minnie ear headband design by Ashley Eckstein for Her Universe will be headed to Disneyland, Walt Disney World and shopDisney on Oct. 4. However, if you’re heading to D23 Expo 2019 in Anaheim, you can purchase it early at the Disney DreamStore!
Also making an early debut at this year’s D23 Expo will be the Hipster Mickey ear hat by Jerrod Maruyama, along with the tiki-tactic Mickey ear hat by SHAG. Both will be available at the convention’s Disney DreamStore, and will debut to the general public later this year on both coasts.
Paying homage to all things Disney Parks attractions, food and characters is this design by Loungefly, which will release early this fall.
Also debuting in the fall is a sparkling pair of ears designed by legendary supermodel and entrepreneur Heidi Klum, a crystal-encrusted ear hat from The Blonds, and a genuine leather, floral-inspired ear headband by Coach.
