Disneyland Halloween characters 2026: Where to find them
Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort brings a seasonal lineup of characters to both theme parks, including Mickey Mouse and friends in festive costumes, Disney villains and the residents of Radiator Screams in their Halloween “car-stumes.”
From new outfits at Disneyland to returning favorites at Disney California Adventure, here is where to find Halloween characters during the 2026 season.
Halloween Time runs Aug. 21-Oct. 31, 2026, it’s one of the top Halloween events in Southern California. Character appearances, locations and schedules are subject to change, so check the Disneyland app during your visit for the latest information.
Halloween characters at Disneyland
Mickey Mouse and his friends have new Halloween outfits for 2026. The designs feature harlequin patterns, frilled collars and cuffs, and swirling confectionery details in orange, yellow and black.
Look for the following characters around Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A.:

- Daisy Duck
- Goofy
- Pluto
- Clarabelle Cow
- Chip and Dale

Jack Skellington and Sally
Jack Skellington and Sally return to Royal Courtyard in New Orleans Square during Halloween Time.
The pair’s appearance complements Haunted Mansion Holiday, where Jack has transformed the classic attraction with help from characters including Sally, Zero and Oogie Boogie.
The attraction’s ballroom also features a new gingerbread house for 2026. This year marks 25 years of changing gingerbread-house creations inside Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Disney villains at Disneyland
Halloween also brings several Disney villains and troublemakers to Disneyland. Disney says guests may spot:
- Gaston
- Maleficent
- Cruella de Vil
- Lady Tremaine
- Anastasia
- Drizella
- The Queen
- Queen of Hearts
Some of the villainous characters may roam or make limited appearances instead of holding a traditional meet-and-greet.
Check the Disneyland app during your visit, but be aware that not every surprise or roaming character appearance may be listed.

Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade
If you love seeing the characters, but you don’t love waiting around for a photo, catch the Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade rolling down the parade route. There you’ll see all the characters in their Halloween wardrobe along with a bunch of villains.
The brief daytime procession in Disneyland provides another opportunity to see characters dressed for Halloween, although it is not a traditional meet-and-greet.
On the opening days of the 2026 season, Disneyland scheduled the cavalcade twice daily at 1:30 and 2:45 p.m. Showtimes may change, so check the Disneyland app or entertainment schedule on the day of your visit.
Halloween characters at Disney California Adventure
Mickey Mouse and friends celebrate Halloween on Buena Vista Street in costumes different from the new outfits worn at Disneyland.
The announced Disney California Adventure lineup includes:
- Mickey Mouse dressed as a magician
- Minnie Mouse wearing a flapper dress
- Donald Duck in a devil costume
- Daisy Duck dressed as a witch
- Goofy dressed as a scarecrow
A Headless Horseman statue also greets guests on Buena Vista Street, creating a seasonal photo opportunity near Elias & Co.
Cars Land “car-stumes”
Cars Land transforms into Radiator Screams for Halloween, complete with seasonal decorations, attraction overlays and residents wearing creative “car-stumes.”

Cars Land also features the returning Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree attraction overlays during the season.
Characters in “Mickey’s Trick and Treat”
“Mickey’s Trick and Treat” returns to the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land as a daytime offering during the Halloween season.
The interactive show features:
- Mickey Mouse
- Minnie Mouse
- Donald Duck
- Goofy
Designed with younger children in mind, “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” includes a not-so-scary Halloween story, two original songs, video projections, special effects and bubbles.
The performance is included with regular Disney California Adventure admission and does not require a separate Oogie Boogie Bash ticket.

Halloween character dining at Disneyland Resort hotels
Seasonal characters can also be found outside the parks through three Disneyland Resort character dining experiences.
Character dining is separately priced, and advance reservations are highly recommended. Theme park admission is not required to dine at the resort hotels.

Goofy’s Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel offers Halloween character dining from Aug. 21-Oct. 31.

Mickey’s Autumn Adventures
Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Breakfast and Brunch runs at Storytellers Cafe inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa from Aug. 21-Nov. 15.

Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner
