Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto ride at Animal Kingdom: Vehicles and details
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto is the official name of the new family attraction opening with Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2027. Disney has now revealed that the ride will carry guests through previously unseen rooms inside Casita before arriving in Antonio’s rainforest-filled bedroom.

The Imagineers’ big reveal
Disney officially announced the “Encanto” ride for Animal Kingdom on Aug. 10, 2024, during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event along with concept art for the attraction. The company revealed its official name, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, and additional story details during the 2026 D23 event.

Several members of the movie’s original voice cast will reprise their roles for the attraction, including Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel, Jessica Darrow as Luisa and Diane Guerrero as Isabela.
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto will be part of Tropical Americas, a new land that will also include Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent and an animal-themed carousel, El Carrusel de los Animalitos.

‘Encanto’ ride opening date
Disney has not announced an exact opening date for the “Encanto” ride, but it will debut sometime in 2027.
Ride system
Disney has not identified the attraction’s underlying ride system.
However, Imagineers revealed that guests will travel aboard vehicles resembling pieces of furniture assembled and brought to life by Casita. The vehicles may react to the scenes around them like characters themselves.

Location of ‘Encanto’ ride
The “Encanto” ride will be located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World near Orlando, Fla.
Specifically, the attraction will reside where Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama! formerly stood within DinoLand, U.S.A., at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, along with a parcel of land that was previously backstage. (The Tropical Americas project at large will completely replace DinoLand, which permanently closes on Feb. 2, 2026.)
The story
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto takes place on the day Antonio receives his magical gift: the ability to communicate with animals. Guests are invited into Casita to celebrate with the Madrigal family and explore scenes created specifically for the attraction.
The journey will eventually lead upstairs to Antonio’s bedroom, which has transformed into an expansive rainforest. More than 50 animals will be represented throughout the attraction, including a capybara receiving a haircut, a toucan and a donkey.
However, at this point in the movie, most of the Madrigal family is quite frustrated with Mirabel, the protagonist of the film. As the only member of the family to never have received a gift, for reasons unknown, she feels left out and downtrodden. This point in the story is arguably Mirabel’s lowest. And yet, this is when the ride takes place. Whether the attraction will acknowledge the awkward family dynamics at play or ignore them for the sake of the ride’s tone remains to be seen.

Scale model
A scale model of the entire Tropical Americas project, including the “Encanto” ride, is on display inside Walt Disney Presents, an exhibit attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
