Disney’s Trail’s End Restaurant is no longer open select days

The Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is now closed select days for the foreseeable future.

Like most eateries at Walt Disney World, Trail’s End was open most days (even major holidays), so its closure takes away the only table service breakfast option for Fort Wilderness guests.

Luckily, this isn’t the only food option at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Guests can also get quick service food from P & J’s Southern Takeout, the Meadow Snack Bar, Crockett’s Tavern Bar or The Chuck Wagon food truck. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort also has the famous Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, which recently returned and was revamped.

At this point, Trail’s End Restaurant is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday in early 2023, but we should note that we can’t see farther into the year than Disney currently allows (the farthest possible viewing date at this time is Feb. 25, 2023, as Disney offers a 60-day reservation window).

Bountiful food and dessert options for dinner at Trail's End Restaurant

If you’ve never been, the food at Trail’s End Restaurant is quite good. I’ve only had their dinner once, but have returned again and again for their bountiful breakfast. Dinner is $32 per adult and $19 per child (plus tax and gratuity). Breakfast is $23 per adult and $13 per child (plus tax and gratuity).

Both meal types are served family style, with skillets filled with food continually coming out. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic specialty drinks are also available. At this particular location, Disney offers food allergy alternatives to those with gluten, wheat, egg, fish, shellfish, milk, peanut, tree nut, and soy allergies.

If you’re planning to visit or stay at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, be sure to check the schedule as table service breakfast is no longer an option on some days (at least for the next couple of months). Another upside to planning a breakfast at Trail’s End is that it not only fuels your day, but may also help you get into the parks faster and beat the crowds to those major attractions.
