Dixie Stampede Closes

Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede in Orlando will no longer be open for business as an offer was made and accepted to purchase the high-visible property on which it sits.  The details of the purchase, including the dollar amount and buyer, have not been released.

Dixie Stampede’s owners say that this is not the last we’ll see of the attraction as they are looking for a new location in Orlando to reopen.  The offer that was made on their I-4 adjacent property was simply too good to not accept.

Update:It is now revealed that the nearby Premium Outlet mall is the new owner of the former Dixie Stampede-occupied land. They purchased it for over $23 million and will be expanding their mall onto the newly acquired property.

  1. This was a shame, though the attraction did have a lot of land for the animals and such… Hopefully they will find another piece of land elsewhere to do their show, Though I don’t know where else near the parks has enough land like that piece did.
