Dollywood has announced that it will be delaying the opening of the park for its 2020 season due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

coronavirus

The park will delay its opening for the next two weeks starting on Saturday, March 14, and will reopen for the 2020 season on March 28. Dolly Parton’s Stampede and Pirates Voyage will be closed starting March 16. Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa and Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Cabins will remain open at this time.

“We have been following the coronavirus crisis very closely and based on developments within the last 24 hours and in consultation with health experts, we are going to delay our season opening until March 28,” said Craig Ross, president of Dollywood. “Despite the delay in opening, we are committed to taking care of our hosts while the park remains closed.”

“We need to focus on good health and praying for those who are affected. We know brighter days are ahead,” said Dolly Parton.

With all the people you have coming in from all over the United States why are you even opening? You are risking hundreds of lives all over with the chances of spreading the virus. People don’t care. They will come whether they are sick or not. Social distancing in not in place here.

Maybe you need to sit back and wait to see what they are going to do before you start bashing! I promise you she will not open the park if it is not 100% safe to do so! If the visus does die down and they open the park do us all a favor and keep your rude hateful ass at home!
