The new lounge was exclusively created for Disney Vacation Club members and their guests, and features device-charging areas, Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, Keurigs, cozy armchairs, and plenty of places to relax on a busy park day.

McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge will be open 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily. It can seat more than 40 guests.

Disney invited Attractions Magazine for a sneak peek of Magic Kingdom’s new DVC lounge on March 17, 2025, ahead of its official opening on March 18.

McKim’s Mile House is located in what used to be the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade. The arcade closed down on June 24 of last year, and the lounge is now themed to be an 1800s saloon-like resting place for travelers.

The arcade had operated in the area for more than three decades, and featured a “projectile-free” infrared rifle system with more than 100 targets around the area.

McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge is named for the fictional family running the lounge, the McKims. They opened their doors to Gold Rush pioneers headed West by stagecoach, and have been open ever since. The DVC member lounge features theming of this family’s heritage, including doors labeled with character names and various family portraits throughout the space.

McKim’s is also a tribute to Sam McKim, a former Imagineer and one of the main concept artists for Frontierland. The lounge features several of his art pieces on display.

How to visit the Magic Kingdom DVC lounge

Lounge entrance rules are specific, but simple. DVC members can bring up to four guests to the in-park lounges, though if the group is staying on a resort reservation, everyone in their reservation can enter.

Non-members may not enter the lounge without the accompaniment of a current DVC member, but once inside, lounge visitors can stay as long as they would like. Again, hours at 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
