Epic Universe fireworks for Fourth of July | Full video, script
Epic Universe fireworks lit up the sky above Universal Orlando’s new theme park during a one-time-only presentation on the Fourth of July.
The show was seven minutes long, and involved fireworks launched from several different spots beyond the perimeter of Epic Universe, as well as synchronized red, white, and blue lighting throughout Celestial Park.
The pyrotechnics were just for the holiday; Epic Universe does not yet present nightly fireworks (though the park does have an impressive nightly fountain show). Universal did not mention whether the show will return for future Independence Days, or if other holidays will present their own fireworks spectacles.

Michael Aiello, senior director of entertainment at Universal Orlando, shared more about the development of the Fourth of July fireworks in a social media post: composer Thomas Bergersen adapted selections from his 2019 “American Dream” album into a new suite just for the show, and Milena Tinoco recorded the show’s voiceover. Jason Horne, assistant director of entertainment creative development at Universal Orlando, helped spearhead the project.

Universal loosely integrated Epic Universe’s theme of traveling the stars and entering different worlds into the script for the park’s Fourth of July fireworks.

Freedom is not just a word. It is a spark that ignites a fire in our soul that compels us to discover, to build, and to stand boldly in the face of the unknown. Tonight, we celebrate that journey, the adventure of a lifetime, that boundless spirit that burns bright in us all.
So lift your eyes. Let that Celestial spark remind us we are free.
Underneath the glow of this starlit night, we stand together. Each of us holds a spark that makes this nation forever bold, endlessly beautiful, and eternally grateful.
Epic Universe previously presented a one-time-only fireworks display during its grand opening webcast on May 21, 2025, as well as daytime fireworks display the morning of the park’s official grand opening day on May 22, 2025.
