Thanks to Sonos’ high-tech speaker system—like a “3D soundstage that surrounds you in the story”—viewers will hear their favorite show in a whole new way, immersed in the essential sounds of the Star Wars galaxy with a level of aural detail like never before.

Pete Pedersen, vice president of marketing at Sonos, explains: “As we spend more time at home, our living rooms have become the hub of entertainment for album releases, season premieres, and straight-to-streaming blockbuster debuts. Our goal is to make it easy to enjoy all of your favorite music and streaming video content in better sound with Sonos. We are working with Disney to give fans an even more immersive experience for one of the best sounding shows streaming today.”

Through Disney and Sonos’ collaboration, viewers will hear the unmistakable shriek of TIE fighters screaming through the air, the Mandalorian “blasting through the galaxy,” and the symphonic sweep of the series’ original score.

Matthew Wood, supervising sound editor at Skywalker Sound and award-winning co-supervising sound editor for “The Mandalorian” says, “High-quality sound is integral to the Star Wars experience. ‘The Mandalorian,’ now heading into season two, extends that legacy with a carefully crafted balance of the series’ powerful score, immersive sound effects, and clear dialogue to guide fans into new worlds.”

Ready to upgrade your home theater system? Their campaign has now launched on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN, and customers who purchase Sonos’ Arc soundbar, Beam smart speaker, or other qualifying speaker sets between Oct. 1-31 will receive 6 months of Disney+ for free (new Disney+ subscribers in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands, and Sweden only; terms and conditions apply).

The journey continues as award-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, who scored the second season of “The Mandalorian,” debuts “Things That Stuck,” a catalogue of jazz, classical, indie, hard rock, and movie music that has inspired him, via Sonos Radio’s streaming radio service app.

Göransson says, “‘Things that Stuck’ is a compilation of songs and sounds that found their way into my hippocampus. Sharing my passion for music with my family and friends has been one of the greatest joys of my life. When you share an emotional bond with someone, your heart and eardrums swell up and make you listen to music in a different way. Let’s become friends.”

Along with Göransson’s collection, “The Mandalorian” season two soundtrack and exclusive commentary on the creation of the second season’s score will also be available on Sonos Radio, starting Oct. 30.
