Fantasy Springs, an expansion of Tokyo DisneySea, opens June 6, 2024 at Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan. The fantastical eighth “port” of the theme park contains four new rides: Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, and Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey. Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure
Utilizing a ride system similar to The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal Islands of Adventure, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure blends physical sets with 3D renderings.
Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies
Channeling the now-defunct Heimlich’s Chew Chew Train at Disney California Adventure Park, Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies is a slow-moving outdoor attraction from the perspective of a tiny namesake character. Based upon the Disney Fairies films from the late 2000s and early 2010s, the ride travels through the four seasons of the year.
Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival
The story of “Tangled” comes to life in Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, a dark ride utilizing boats as its ride vehicle.
Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey
Another water-based dark ride, Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey retells the story of “Frozen.” Though Epcot and Hong Kong Disneyland both already contain a “Frozen” boat ride (Frozen Ever After), Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey is a new experience, not a clone of that previous attraction.
