Feld Entertainment unveils concept for Monster Jam roller coaster
Feld Entertainment, the company behind Disney On Ice and New York’s newly opened DreamWorks Trolls attraction, is hoping to drive one of their most popular brands out of the arena and into theme parks with their newly unveiled concept for Grave Digger Freestyle Run, the first Monster Jam roller coaster.
During a press conference at the 2018 IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, Feld Entertainment showed off concept art of their latest idea, a Monster Jam roller coaster inspired by the iconic Grave Digger truck. Feld’s proposed ride will allow guests to experience backflips, corkscrews, saves and big air moments that the real Grave Digger drivers experience in their 12,000 lb. Monster Jam trucks during Freestyle competitions.
Feld also released concept art of an interactive experience that would allow guests to transform into performers from the now-closed Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey Circus. At this time, both of these attractions are only concepts, and no partnerships with parks or ride manufacturers has been announced, but according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal, Feld is currently in talks with potential operators.
