Ferrari World’s Coaster Lab teaches kids about the physics of fun

Students can learn about the physics behind the world’s fastest roller coaster in the new Coaster Lab educational program at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

Ferrari World’s year-long Coaster Lab initiative for schools is the first of its kind in the UAE, and one of many activities taking place in the lead up to the theme park’s celebrations of its 10-year anniversary milestone this November. The program will give visiting students with a love for science the chance to partake in some fast fun and learn about the physics of engineering and technology behind roller coasters.

Aimed at primary and middle school children, the activity-filled day gives students the chance to build ride replicas before enjoying record-breaking attractions at the car-themed theme park. In the hour-long session led by Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s specialists, students will three interactive demonstrations where they learn about the science behind roller coasters.

Students will also enjoy the park’s attractions and hop on board the world’s fastest roller coaster, Formula Rossa. The Coaster Lab program needs to be booked in advance and can be purchased as an add-on to the theme park’s existing school packages for AED35 ($9.53 US)
