The former location of the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk now has a new name and logo to match!

We previously reported that merchandise inside the shop and its theming had recently pivoted to be more aligned with Universal’s past.

The middle of the store is packed full of wooden crates that you would imagine store various film props and equipment. This area appears to be unfinished, though it could possibly be utilized for additional merchandise displays or a check-out area.

Some crates in particular sport the store’s new logo, featuring a font that evokes a bygone era of Hollywood.

The gargoyles that once sat atop the Universal Studios Florida archway now have a new home outside the Universal Legacy Store.

“Universal Orlando Resort will soon debut an all-new flagship Universal Studios Store in the heart of Universal CityWalk. The current Universal Studios Store location in CityWalk is undergoing a transformation to become the Universal Legacy Store — additional details will be revealed soon,” said Universal in a statement.

For now, it seems that hopes of a Nintendo Store taking the place of the now-named Universal Legacy Store are dashed, as we await further construction and an eventual opening date for the new Studios Store in CityWalk.
