Fyre Festival 2: It’s real, and the highest ticket is $1 million
With real coordinates listed and tiered island vacation packages open for purchase, it seems that the infamous 18+ music festival is back and in full swing, this time as Fyre Festival 2.
You read that right: Fyre Festival 2 is coming to an island off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico from May 30 – June 2, 2025. It is a direct successor of the 2017 Fyre Fest, which turned out to be an organizational disaster after many miscommunications and broken promises from the event’s leadership.
According to the event’s website, both music artists and guests can reserve their tickets online starting at $1,400 per person.
The new festival’s events are set to be released in a series of “experiential drops” prior to May 30. Currently, the website lists a fight club, a Water Stage, specialty transportation, and concierge access as possible attractions unique to each level of pass.
The $1 million dollar Prometheus Pass includes an 8-person pass to the event, access to a private yacht for housing and cruising, and a variety of unique events exclusive to Prometheus-tier guests that start even before they arrive at Isla Mujeres.
In response to the previous attempt’s major ecological concerns, Fyre Festival 2 leaders have laid out a sustainability initiative for the event’s framework. This initiative focuses on including multiple levels of ecological restoration goals in the festival’s planning, including:
- coral reef growth and restoration funding
- park reforestation project for local improvement
- pet waste recycling receptacles readily available
- solar power to event functions
- zero-waste, eco-friendly merchandise and utensils
Guests will have the opportunity to view 3D and AR installations of local coral reefs, as well as learn about the environmental footprint of the merchandise they buy as a part of the Fyre experience.
