Gatorland can hook you up with the wildest photography in Orlando

The popular Gatorland Photographers Pass has returned, for a limited time, giving participants exclusive access to the park’s wild birds on select dates in March, April, and May, 2022.

The special photography program allows 7 a.m. access to the park, before opening to the general public, and it is during those first few early hours that a unique habitat filled with wading bird rookeries really springs to life.

Photographers can capture memorable shots of more than 20 species of birds, many of which are on the Endangered or Species of Special Concern lists, as they nest, forage, and roost in one of Florida’s largest, most successful, and most accessible rookeries.

Gatorland rookery

Created in 1991, Gatorland’s Bird Rookery lines the banks of the 110-acre park’s alligator breeding marsh, and a specially built boardwalk provides birders and photographers the kind of up-close access that leads to incredible snapshots, from a safe but accessible distance.

Gatorland Photographers Pass dates for March, April, and May, 2022 are:

  • March 19
  • March 27
  • April 2
  • April 10
