Tishman Hotel Corporation recently purchased the 718-room property located just 1.5 miles from Walt Disney World, and Rhode Island-based StepStone Hospitality was named the new management company. Previously under the Wyndham brand, the newly renovated resort will be branded as a Delta by Marriott, known for modern guest rooms, flexible spaces, and smart service.

“As Orlando continues to be one of the nation’s leading destinations for leisure and meetings guests, we are confident the property’s convenient location, diverse facilities, new modern design, amenities, and renovated product will have strong appeal to both travel segments,” said StepStone Hospitality President and CEO Blair Wills. “We are excited to expand our portfolio with a property offering so much appeal and in partnership with two highly recognized hospitality entities, Tishman and Marriott.”

Renovation of the Grand Orlando Resort lobby and two of the six towers are already complete, and the remaining construction will be contained to one tower at a time to avoid interruptions to the guest experience. The newly-renovated property will also offer three swimming pools – complete with a waterfall and slide – two tennis courts, on-site laundry facilities, four restaurants, and complimentary scheduled transportation to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

“We are excited to partner with the proven management team at StepStone and the leading and trusted Marriott brand to present a refreshed offering in Orlando,” said Tishman Hotel Corporation President Robert Snyder. “This is an ideal opportunity to capture guests who enjoy the proximity of the outer perimeter of Walt Disney World, with easy access to I-4 and the other Orlando attractions, including the convention center.”
