The Optimus Prime converting robot rolled out in April, 2021, and this April Hasbro and Robosen Robotics’ newest creation, modeled after the original G1 design and measuring three feet in length, adds a converting trailer and roller vehicle to the robotics lineup.

Sold separately to the original Optimus Prime, this new trailer’s rear swing doors open via voice command, exposing the roller vehicle’s automatic lift gate.

Then, the trailer auto-converts into fighting mode by folding open and pivoting upwards, exposing its firepower with an integrated, articulated sentry blaster.

The roller vehicle, controlled by an app, is Inside the trailer with its human operator, Spike, adding to the player’s ability to defend against the Decepticons.

Optimus Prime can tow the trailer via truck mode, and various full combat and defensive battle modes can be achieved.

The trailer and roller are each crafted with state-of-the-art, high-grad metal alloy parts.

“Launching the flagship Transformers Optimus Prime robot last year with Robosen was a successful moment in elevating branded play for collectors,” said Casey Collins, head of licensed consumer products & business development at Hasbro. “The new Trailer and Roller Set is an ideal companion piece to further enhance our fans’ Transformers experience.”

The set comes with a protective storage case with a handle, plus a limited-edition collectible pack, which includes an individual serialized number, an Autobot magnetic car badge, a metal challenge coin, and a sticker pack.

“We are thrilled to continue to collaborate with Hasbro and create an awe-inspiring experience with the addition of the Trailer and Roller Set for the fans of the Transformers franchise,” Sean Tang, director of Robosen USA said. “Transformers is one of the most iconic brands in history, and the new Trailer and Roller Set will get fans even more immersed in the action.”

The entire package retails for $749.99. Preorders are now being taken at HasbroPulse.com and Robosen.com. Flagship Optimus Prime robots are also available for $749.99.
