Haunted Mansion to celebrate 50 years with after-hours event at Disneyland park

The Haunted Mansion is celebrating 50 years at Disneyland park this year by hosting a marvelously macabre after-hours event.

This August, guests can choose to attend one of the “The Haunted Mansion: Celebrating 50 years of Retirement Unliving” events. These after-hours gatherings at Disneyland park will be filled with plenty of thrills and chills. Guests can purchase anniversary merchandise, take in spirited food and drink, enjoy special entertainment, character encounters, photo-ops, and access to many west-side park attractions – and a few supernatural surprises.

The event will be held on two overnight periods, Aug. 7-8 and Aug. 8-9, and tickets are $299 each. Check out each day’s schedule below:

Event highlights include:

• 13th Hour Celebration Kick-off Moment along the Rivers of America – Madame Leota will make a special appearance to conjure up festive spirits for this “Swinging Wake”. A cavalcade of musicians, dancers and performers from beyond the grave will also make a haunting appearance.
• Re-create moments and scenes from the attraction in photos with themed backdrops. Guests will also get unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the event.
• Event-themed food and beverage offerings, along with other unique menu items will be available at select park locations.
• Characters from The Haunted Mansion will make a ghastly appearance and meet with guests.
• Honor the past 50 years with themed décor as the 999 tenants of the mansion await new arrivals.
• Enjoy after-hours access to select attractions in New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Frontierland and Adventureland. However, select attractions will close early during the event.
• Show off your best Haunted Mansion-inspired attire with limited-time Snapchat filters and event hashtags to post to social media.
• Commemorative 50th anniversary merchandise will be available for purchase at the event. You can check it all out here.

Keep in mind, when purchasing your event ticket, you will be allowed to purchase one (1) ticket per person, per event date, per transaction. This is due to the merchandise offerings that will be released along with the event, which requires each ticketed guest to have their own unique registration ID.
