To celebrate the launch of the 13th attraction with Disney PhotoPass capture at Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom is offering special experiences inspired by The Haunted Mansion on April 13.
Starting at 9 a.m., guests can look for the PhotoPass photographer near the exit of the ride who will be offering a “Tomb Sweet Tomb” prop, available during daylight hours. The photographer can also capture a frighteningly fun Animated Magic Shot.
For more mystical photo magic, the photographer stationed near the hearse in front of the Mansion will be able to make the Hitchhiking Ghosts materialize in your photo.
Over by the entrance to the Liberty Square Riverboat, the photographer can make the Hatbox Ghost appear in a special Magic Shot. Both of these spectral images will be available all day and night starting at 9 a.m.
Once night falls, hurry back for more spook-tacular photos. The photographer outside of Memento More will capture Mickey-shaped orbs that float around the land.
You’ll also find the caretaker’s lantern prop shot near the ride exit after the sun sets.
Be sure to wear your MagicBand that’s linked to your My Disney Experience account while riding The Haunted Mansion to get your attraction photo.
For those looking to get in touch with their more spirited side, head over to Memento Mori for an 8-inch by 10-inch lenticular photo of your ghostly form for $13.13 plus tax.
Not only are there photos, but fun and themed celebratory treats as well. Inspired by the famous 13-hour clock inside the Haunted Mansion, try the special Midnight Fright Delight “browkie” at Liberty Square Market for $6.99 plus tax.
As a special treat, the Cadaver Dans ghostly quartet will make a special appearance after the sun goes down in Liberty Square.
Guests are encouraged to share photos of their haunted experiences on April 13 with the hashtag #HauntedPhotoPass on Twitter and Instagram.
