Holidays at Legoland brings seasonal cheer to Legoland California
Holidays at Legoland returns to the California resort, kicking off the festive season with live entertainment, specialty treats, holiday Lego characters, and the park’s signature 30-foot Lego Christmas tree.
Fun Town at Legoland California Resort takes on a winter wonderland ambiance as snow falls and lights twinkle merrily on the land’s buildings, and on the park’s 30-foot-tall Christmas tree.
Constructed with more than 245,000 forest green Duplo bricks, the centerpiece tree boasts 400+ Lego ornaments and 11,000 LED lights, which dance to holiday tunes during the nightly “Holiday Light Show.”
Fun Town is also the place to find life-size Lego models of Santa and his reindeer, the perfect spot for a family photo or backdrop for this year’s holiday cards.
The merry-making continues with costumed characters Lego Santa, Lego Toy Soldier, and Lego Gingerbread Man, each of whom are on hand to meet visitors and pose for photographs.
Seasonal food and beverages add to the festivities, along with live musical entertainment and the park’s 60 rides, shows, attractions, including those in the new Lego Movie World land.
Sea Life aquarium, located near the park entrance, keeps the holiday spirit going with a special daily dive show and winter-themed crafting activities. Separate admission to enter the aquarium is required.
The fun doesn’t end when Dec. 25 has passed, though. The Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party takes place on Dec. 31, starting at the family-friendly hour of 6 p.m. Count down the hours leading up to 2022 with live music, a nighttime fireworks spectacular, and Lego characters Jake and Emily, all before bedtime.
Guests who would like to extend their stay can enjoy more holiday celebrations and live entertainment at both Legoland Hotel and Legoland Castle Hotel, each located at the park’s main entrance. Special holiday-themed vacation packages are available.
Holidays at Legoland California Resort run from Nov. 20, 2021 through Jan. 2, 2022. The event is presented by Hallmark Channel, home of the annual Countdown to Christmas holiday programming.
