Design a custom car to be the next Hot Wheels die-cast vehicle
Registration is now open for 2024’s Hot Wheels Legends Tour, the search for a custom-designed car to become a Hot Wheels die-cast vehicle.

Design Your Own Hot Wheels
Have you always wanted to design a Hot Wheels car? You can do just that by entering your custom car into the seventh annual Hot Wheels Legends Tour competition. The winner’s vehicle will be made available as a 1:64 Hot Wheels die-cast car.
The tour will visit 13 countries. Its U.S. travels will include 11 stops (see cities below), where participants and spectators alike can admire designers’ handiwork as a judging panel critiques entries based on authenticity, creativity, and garage spirit.

“The dedication and enthusiasm we see at Hot Wheels Legends Tour events around the world keep us motivated to build on the tour every year to find more ways to celebrate custom car builders and their drive to become legendary,” said Ted Wu, senior vice president and global head of design for vehicles at Mattel. “This year, the tour will visit Columbia and the UAE for the first time, and we can’t wait to see these unique car communities represented at this year’s global semi-final in November.”
The “Columbia” tour stop, spelled that way throughout Mattel’s press release, may be a typo for “Colombia.” Hot Wheels did not communicate dates or locations for tour stops outside the U.S.

New for this year, the competition accepted virtual entries last week.

Both parks will also feature attractions based on Barbie and Thomas & Friends.
