Ice Breaker roller coaster opening Feb. 18 at SeaWorld Orlando

The wait is finally over! SeaWorld Orlando has announced an opening date for the long-awaited Ice Breaker roller coaster.

The coaster, named after the icy Arctic summits, will open to guests on Feb. 18, 2022. Guests can find the coaster located across from Wild Arctic.

Ice Breaker will feature four airtime-filled launches, both backwards and forwards, leading to a reverse launch into the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida — a 93-feet-tall spike with 100-degree angle. The thrills keep coming with a near vertical tophat maneuver that continues into a series of twists, turns and airtime hills.

Pass Members will be able to experience Ice Breaker early, as previews will be held on various days from Jan. 30 – Feb. 15, depending on their pass level. The full preview schedule is as follows:

  • Jan. 30-31: Platinum Pass Members
  • Feb. 1-6: Platinum and Gold Pass Members
  • Feb. 7-13: Platinum, Gold and Silver Pass Members
  • Feb. 14-15: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Pass Members plus Fun Card holders
