Iron Man roller coaster vehicle revealed for Disney Cruise Line’s first Marvel ride
Ironcycle Test Run, an Iron Man roller coaster, will debut upon the Disney Adventure cruise ship, along with two other rides as part of the Marvel Landing area.

When the Disney Adventure cruise ship casts off in December 2025, passengers will be able to “test-drive” new Stark technology: the Ironcycle Test Run roller coaster, Disney Cruise Line’s first traditional coaster and the longest coaster at sea (820 feet). Ironcycle Test Run will open as part of Marvel Landing, a themed deck area which will also include the Pym Quantum Racers go-karts and the Groot Galaxy Spin flat ride.

Onboard Ironcycle Test Run, riders will “test-drive Tony Stark’s latest Ironcycle prototype on a thrilling high-speed circuit,” Disney says, and along the way participate in “a rapid-fire driving lesson from Tony Stark’s virtual assistant, F.R.I.D.A.Y.”
In the Marvel films, F.R.I.D.A.Y. is voiced by Kerry Condon, also known for “Better Call Saul” and her Oscar-nominated role in “The Banshees of Inisherin.” Condon also stars in “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” debuting on Disney+ in late 2024. Disney did not mention if Condon will reprise her role as F.R.I.D.A.Y. for the Iron Man roller coaster.

Disney is touting Ironcycle Test Run as the company’s first roller coaster on a cruise ship. Multiple Disney ships feature variations of the AquaMouse attraction, but that’s a “water coaster” (riders sit in rafts, which are propelled along a slide path by jets and magnets). The language semantics reiterate an industry trend in confusing theme park attraction names and claims. Terminology aside, Ironcycle Test Run is Disney Cruise Line’s first example of what can be a considered a traditional roller coaster, with a vehicle traveling quickly along a track.

The track will be positioned 30 feet above the Marvel Landing deck.
Ironcycle Test Run will be Disney’s second coaster starring Iron Man, the first being Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, in which the hero co-stars with Captain Marvel. That ride opened in 2022 in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris as a re-theme of the park’s former Rock ‘n Roller Coaster. Other Marvel coasters globally include Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot in Florida and an upcoming Spider-Man coaster at Shanghai Disneyland.
More Marvel on the Disney Adventure
Beyond the Iron Man coaster, two additional rides are also located in Marvel Landing on the Disney Adventure cruise ship.
Pym Quantum Racers is a go-kart-style attraction inspired by the car chase sequences of 2018’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” In what might be a first for a Disney ride, the lore involves guests riding in an “oversized” toy car, rather than the guests themselves being “shrunk” to the toy’s size. If you do the math, a toy go-kart enlarged is … a regular-sized go-kart.

On Groot Galaxy Spin, guests will “fly their own Nova Corp Bass Jumper vehicles.” In other words, it’s a spoke-and-wheel flat ride substituting spaceships for Dumbos, themed to Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

Elsewhere on the ship, the “Avengers Assemble!” live stage show will feature live character appearances by Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, Black Panther, Taskmaster, Captain America, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Thor, Loki, and Deadpool.

While the Iron Man roller coaster and other attractions of Marvel Landing are the first Marvel rides on a Disney ship, the brand has been heavily represented by Disney Cruise Line in other ways the past several years. A handful of the Disney ships’ kids clubs (including the one on the Disney Adventure) house a Marvel super hero training lab, Disney seasonally hosts a “Marvel Day at Sea” event on select cruises, and newer Disney vessels feature a Marvel dinner show experience (starring Marvel actors reprising their film roles in exclusive new footage).
The Disney Adventure cruise ship will sail three- and four-night voyages from Singapore beginning Dec. 15, 2025. See our previous coverage for a full tour of the ship with 84 concept renderings.
