If you’re looking for a family-friendly way to let the good times roll this spring, Mardi Gras at SeaWorld San Antonio is bringing the Big Easy to Texas, with a six-week celebration featuring live music, costumes, culinary and alcoholic drink specials, and more.

It wouldn’t be a party without great food, and the delicious highlight of SeaWorld San Antonio Mardi Gras celebration are returning favorites like jambalaya, shrimp po-boys, and freshly made beignets, plus adult beverage options including hurricanes, frozen daiquiris, and the signature “Carnival Cocktail” crafted from vodka, blue curacao, peach schnapps, and melon liquor.

Bayou Bites is returning with a new menu item: a boudin-pepper jack roll, which is a traditional Louisiana sausage made with cooked pork, rice, onions, and seasoning stuffed into a casing. Also new to this this year’s celebration is Spanky’s Fresh Cut fries, a quick-service food location serving New Orleans-style Cajun fries, popcorn shrimp, and Cayenne Chicken.


Every Mardi Gras celebration includes Zydeco music and festive beads, and SeaWorld San Antonio offers both, as well as the Sesame Street Mardi Gras Parade, a colorful procession featuring lively tunes, dancing, and floats decked out in signature Mardi Gras colors of purple, gold, and green.

Also, Catapult Falls, the world’s first launched flume coaster will be launching riders at speeds of up to 32-feet per second and down a 55-foor drop when it makes its debut this year.
