Think you can take on the 2019 Space Race?

This year’s 3K course through the Complex will benefit the United Way of Brevard. Participants can walk or run through the course, and take in views like the historic Rocket Garden, the booster stack at the entrance of Space Shuttle Atlantis, and Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame.

Timing and scoring for the 3K will be determined by chip, and the top 10 men and women will be scored by age groups. The winners in each category will receive their award from a veteran NASA astronaut.

No matter if you come in first place or last place, celebrate finishing the race with a beer or glass of wine in the Rocket Garden during the after-race party!

Race hopefuls can register now for $35 each until Jan. 17. Day-of registration will be $40 per person. This event is family-friendly and open to guests of the runners with a suggested donation of $5 per guest to the United Way. Both runners and spectators must be registered online.

Registration for runners to participate in the 3K includes:

  • Race registration
  • One complimentary beer or wine at the conclusion of the race
  • 2019 Space Race T-shirt and drawstring bag (guaranteed shirt size if registered by Jan. 4, 2019)
  • Complimentary parking at the Visitor Complex
