Kennywood’s Phantom Fall Fest celebrates 20 years of frights
Phantom Fall Fest annual Halloween event at Kennywood in West Mifflin Pa. runs on select dates from Sept.24-Oct. 30, 2022 with seven haunted attractions, four scare zones, and nighttime rides on their most popular attractions.

During its longest running Halloween festival ever, Kennywood offers 15 extra days to experience Phantom Fall Fest, extending the time guests can face their fears, whether they choose to Play All Day, Fright All Night, or both.
Phantom Fall Fest horrifying haunted experiences include:
mAlice in Wonderland – New for 2022, each guest chooses their own adventure through the looking glass. Pick the rabbit hole you’ll descend into and accept the consequences of that choice when the malicious residents of Wonderland become your guides. Will you be able to avoid the mad Red Queen? (Additional fee required to experience mAlice in Wonderland.)

Ark in the Dark – With only a flashlight to light your way, two guests enter this haunted experience, but will two come back out? (Additional fee required.)
Villa of the Vampire – The Master built his home in Kennywood, brick by brick, and it’s up to you to find your way past his bloodthirsty minions or risk becoming one of his children of the night.
Kennyville Cemetery – Hoards of zombie un-dead are rising from their graves, and if you don’t find a way out you’ll be their next meal.
Dark Shadows – Shadowy figures move through the near-pitch-black with the intent of stealing your sanity.
Voodoo Bayou – What starts as a rafting adventure with Swamp Canoe and Raft Excursions – or S.C.A.R.E. – could end with the undead unleashing all of your fears.
Shady Grove – A maniac doctor has turned healing into horror at Shady Grove Memorial Hospital, and if you’re not careful he’s going to steal the windows to your soul…your eyes.
Phantom Fall Fest is recommended for ages 13 and up, but along with nighttime scares, Kennywood park also offers family-friendly daytime fun, including season-inspired foods and an autumnal atmosphere.
“There is no other place that offers so much Halloween fun – haunts, scares, popular rides and family fun – at such a great value,” said Kennywood General Manager Mark Pauls. “The best way to experience it all is with a 2023 Gold or Platinum Season Pass, which offers unlimited visits for free this year, plus all of 2023.”
Kennywood’s sister park, Idlewild, is the place for family fall fun, incouding HallowBOO! and its not-so-scary mazes, Story Book Forest Trick-or-Treat Trail, the HallowBOO! Express Train ride, and Confusion Hill Wacky Witches Inn.
The event also features two kid-friendly shows, Jack-O-Lantern Jive and Monster Mash, plus character meet and greets with Daniel Tiger and his Neighborhood Friends. HallowBOO! runs on Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 24-Oct. 30, 2022.
Phantom Fall Fest and HallowBOO! can be experienced with a season pass. Gold passes are on sale now, and include unlimited visits to the park during the remainder of 2022 along with unlimited visits throughout 2023. Platinum Passes give unlimited visits to Kennywood, Sandcastle Waterpark, and Idlewild for the rest of 2022 and all of 2023.
Season Passholders can attend a special Phantom Fall Fest preview night on Sept. 23, 2022.
