California theme park fans will soon be able to return to Knott’s Berry Farm, as it has announced its grand reopening is set for May 21, 2021.
The theme park will resume regular operations with limited capacity and new reservation requirements in place. The park will reopen to season passholders on May 6, with a grand reopening to the general public on May 21 for a summer-long 100th Anniversary Celebration.
As part of the anniversary festivities, guests will be able to experience the new Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair, a 4-D interactive dark ride that pays tribute to the classic attraction from 35 years ago. Guests will also be able to meet Knott’s new costumed characters and enjoy nighttime entertainment as Knott’s Summer Nights returns with live music, DJs, and specialty food and beverages.
In addition, the park is planning a nightly ceremony featuring multiple attractions lighting up and leading to a special moment with the redesigned K-tower. There will also be festive décor throughout the park, including special photo-ops that pay homage to attractions from the past and commemorative merchandise that celebrates the park’s history.
The anniversary celebration will run through Sept. 6, 2021. In alignment with the current guidelines for the state, capacity will be limited and only California residents will ben able to visit — with reservations required for both single-day visits and season passholders. Ticket sales and reservations will resume starting April 26.
All 2020 and 2021 season passes purchased through May 5, 2021 will be valid through May 5, 2022. Season Passes are available now starting at $101 or via six payments of $13.50 after an initial deposit. Gold Passes are $135 or six payments of $17 after an initial payment. These offers will end on June 20, 2021, and payment plans are only available online. Details on the reopening of Soak City Waterpark will be shared soon.
Health and safety measures will remain in place upon the reopening of the park as it continues to follow state, county, and local health guidelines. You can check out specifics on the park website.
