Knott’s Berry Farm is jump-starting their 2019 with two additional weekends of the Knott’s Peanuts Celebration.
The extended celebration of Charles M. Schulz’s comic strips will take place on weekends starting Jan. 26 – March 10, plus President’s Day, Feb. 18. The event will include interactive character experiences, new festive Peanuts-inspired décor, more comic strip photo opportunities, live shows, event merchandise, and themed treats.
The Peanuts Celebration will have plenty of festive fun around every corner. Guests can take part in one-of-a-kind photo ops throughout the park that will allow them to step inside a Peanuts comic strip. The décor will include full-size comic strip props like Charlie Brown’s kites and thought bubbles, which will adorn the park’s pathways.
Guests will also have the chance to meet the Peanuts characters throughout the day as they appear at surprise locations for character meet-and-greets.
Camp Snoopy Theater will debut the new Space Beagle show featuring Charlie Brown and Lucy, as the famous beagle becomes the first dog on the moon. Also in Camp Snoopy, the Grand Sierra Railroad will invite kids to celebrate with the Peanuts as they head to Beagle Bonanza in this ride overlay.
The fun will continue at the Bird Cage Theatre as the park offers a Peanuts drawing experience for guests young and old. The Peanuts Sketch School will include the park’s resident art teacher who will give step-by-step instructions on how to draw the perfect Peanuts masterpiece.
Guests can catch Franklin and Linus on their Western escapade in the Peanuts Cowboy Jamboree at Calico Park. Also in Ghost Town, everyone’s favorite messy pal, Pig Pen will be joining the rest of the Peanuts gang as he hosts a meetup at the Livery Stables with some of his favorite animal friends.
The Peanuts Celebration will also add a new overlay to one of the park’s tallest attractions. Sky Cabin will receive a festive overlay as an homage to the smallest member of the Peanuts and transform into Woodstock’s Bird’s-Eye View.
Over at the Calico Mine Stage, the Peanuts have two musical surprises for guests to enjoy. During the day, Sally and Schroder will host a retrospect of music in “The Music Goes Round and Round,” where they’ll have the audience dancing in the aisles.
At night, the stage will transform for Woodstock’s Musical Festival. The event will feature the Peanuts joined by the family-friendly indie band The Jelly of the Month Club, performing high-energy rock for the whole family.
Fiesta Village will host the park’s first-ever Discoteca de Silencio, or also known as a silent disco. Guests simply just have to put on a pair of headphones and enjoy upbeat tunes at this party, hosted by Snoopy’s brother Spike.
