Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025 will include new balloons such as the ogre triplet teenagers Felicia, Fergus, and Farkle from “Shrek 5” and Super Mario.
Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., airing on NBC and streaming live on Peacock.

Shrek and Fiona’s triplets appear on the onion carriage balloon, seen below in a photo from Macy’s Parade History (a fan account) on Instagram and published here with permission. Macy’s tested this year’s balloons on Nov. 1, 2025. This marks the world’s first look at Fergus and Farkle as teenagers; Felicia was shown in the “Shrek 5” teaser earlier this year. Felicia will be voiced by Zendaya in “Shrek 5.”

All new balloons in Macy’s Parade 2025 with photos
The new balloons for this year’s Macy’s Parade are:
- Mario by Nintendo of America, celebrating the 40th anniversary of “Super Mario” and the upcoming April 2026 release of “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie“
- Buzz Lightyear by Pixar Animation Studios, celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Toy Story” and the upcoming June 2026 release of “Toy Story 5“
- “Shrek 5” by DreamWorks Animation, featuring a record-breaking eight characters in a single balloon arrangement: Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Gingy, Pinocchio, and Shrek & Fiona’s triplet ogre teenagers Felicia, Fergus, and Farkle
- Pac-Man by Bandai Namco
- Rainbow Trout and Greybow Trout by Macy’s, reimaginings of previous years’ Flying Fish balloons
While not new, but likely of interest to our readers, the Disney Cruise Line float will return to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for 2025. This time, the float promotes the new Disney Destiny ship, whose maiden voyage is Nov. 20, 2025. During the parade, Disney heroes and villains will face off for a performance. The float will also display the bow of the Destiny.
