Marvel brings ‘Crypt of Shadows’ comic back for Halloween
This October, Marvel brings back another issue of the popular “Crypt of Shadows” one-shot comic featuring creepy characters and spooky tales from the Marvel universe.
“Crypt of Shadows” is a collection of comic short stories featuring characters like Scarlet Witch, Daredevil, Deadpool, and more. The new cover features those characters plus Hulk, the Living Mummy, and Werewolf by Night.
Here’s the stories you’ll find inside:
- Doctor Strange’s younger brother Victor Strange hosts the framing story as he ventures ever deeper into the crypt. Written by Al Ewing with artist Paul Davidson.
- A “devilishly delightful” Deadpool story also features the Living Mummy. Written by Cavan Scott and artist Devmalya Pramanik.
- Scarlet Witch faves a new villain named the Bricklayer. Written by Steve Orlando with artist Paul Azaceta.
- A “man vs. monster” tale starring Werewolf by Night and Hulk. Written by Sarah Gailey and artist Eder Messias.
- Daredevil and Man-Thing team up in a creepy adventure from writer Declan Shalvey and artist Alex Lins.
“Crypt of Shadows #1” arrives in comic shops and digitally on Oct. 18, 2023.
Last year’s “Crypt of Shadows” comic featured stories with Moon Knight, Wolverine, Elsa Bloodstone, Man-Thing, Werewolf by Night, and Blade’s daughter, Bloodline.
