What are the most Instagrammable Disney snacks?

We’ve all snapped a photo of our snack and posted it on Instagram, but have you ever wondered what are the most Instagrammable Disney snacks? Wonder no more because a new study has revealed the most photogenic food and drinks at Disney Parks worldwide.

Disney travel planning experts MagicGuides looked at Instagram hashtags for over 50 food and drink options exclusive to Disney Parks to find out which snacks are social media stars.

“Disney Parks are known worldwide for their thrilling attractions, enchanting shows, and dazzling entertainment, but Disney magic also extends to its delicious and unique food and dining options that cater to all kinds of tastes and preferences,” said a MagicGuides spokesperson. “Each Disney Park around the world has its own selection of culinary delights, often featuring themed treats that add to the overall immersive vacation experience.”

Top Ten Most Instagrammable Disney Snacks

1. Dole Whip

It should be no surprise to anyone that Dole Whip took the top spot as the most Instagrammable Disney snack, with 316,535 recorded Instagram posts. In fact, the iconic Disney treat (which is vegan, by the way) garnered more Instagram hashtags than the rest of the top 10 combined.

The pineapple-flavored soft serve (which has its own official day) also receives an average of 58,000 Google searches each month worldwide.

2. Blue Milk

The second most Insta-worthy treat in Disney Parks is Blue Milk, which can be found in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Inspired by the Star Wars universe, the colorful plant-based “milk” drink actually comes in two flavors: blue and green; however, the study revealed Blue Milk is the more Instagrammable of the two, with 55,275 hashtags (about 29,878 more hashtags than Green Milk, which ranked fourth).

3. Mickey Prezel

In third place is the classic Mickey Pretzel, which despite having one of the biggest cult followings in Disney Parks, has “only” 30,407 recorded hashtags on Instagram.

4. Green Milk

Although less Instagrammable than its blue sibling, Galaxy’s Edge’s Green Milk still recorded a respectable 25,397 hashtags on Instagram, putting it in fourth place overall.

5. Mickey Waffles

With 25,277 hashtags on Instagram, the fifth most Instagrammable Disney Park treat is the Disney Parks staple, Mickey Waffles, which can be found across Disney theme parks worldwide (plus Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii).

6. Disney Popcorn Buckets

Popcorn Buckets as a group ranked as the sixth most popular Disney Parks snack on Instagram, with 20,618 recorded hashtags.

The refillable buckets are not only a whimsical way to carry popcorn, but the collectible (often viral) popcorn buckets shaped like favorite Disney characters double as souvenirs.

7. Mickey Beignets

Mickey Beignets is the seventh most Instagrammable Disney snack, with 11,163 Instagram hashtags. The sweet New Orleans treats can be found at Royal Street Veranda in Disneyland and Scat Cat’s Club in Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter at Walt Disney World.

Rounding out the top ten most Instagrammable Disney snacks are Pandora’s non-alcoholic Night Blossom drink (layers of apple and pear limeade topped with boba balls) ranking in eighth place, followed by Disney Churros and Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars in ninth and tenth place, respectively.

“These findings emphasize the unwavering popularity of the iconic Dole Whip, which has been a park staple since first introduced in 1986,” the MagicGuides spokesperson said. “The research also highlights that practically any snacks or treats shaped as Disney’s iconic Mickey Mouse are popular to post online, with four Mickey-shaped treats in the ranking.”

Methodology

To avoid skewing the data, Magic Guides only analyzed food and drink options solely linked to Disney Parks. For example, although they can be bought in Disney theme parks, foods such as turkey legs or corn dogs were not counted as they are not exclusive to Disney.
