This new attraction features classic children’s characters like Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder and more.

The attraction, which took over a year to construct, features iconic Mattel characters and brands like Thomas & Friends, Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, Angelina Ballerina and MEGA – all of which are very popular in Europe.

This immersive play experience allows guests to step into these characters’ worlds and enjoy an engaging experience through storytelling and imagination.

“Our brands are known and loved by children around the world and we are delighted to bring this world class attraction to Europe to inspire wonder in the next generation,” said Julie Freeland, senior director of global live events & attractions at Mattel. “A huge congratulation to De Schatberg and their appointed suppliers in producing such a premium quality experience.”

“We are delighted to be partnering with Mattel; they have some of the most recognized family brands in Europe,” said Ronald Hoppzak and Karin Hoppzak at De Schatberg. “It made for a perfect partnership to create a Mattel Play! experience as we wanted to grow our experiences from operating a family holiday park by incorporating an indoor all-year-round attraction. Mattel is a global partner with powerful iconic brands that are the perfect fit for expansion strategy.”
