MegaCon Orlando 2021 — the Southeast’s largest comic, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming convention — will take place Aug. 12-15, 2021, with Brendan Fraser, known for his role as Rick O’Connell in 1999’s “The Mummy” and his portrayal of Cliff Steele/Robotman in HBO Max’s “Doom Patrol” series, joining the weekend’s lineup of film and television stars.

Also scheduled to appear from the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy are Elijah Wood, Sean Astin (“The Goonies,” “Rudy,” “Stranger Things”), Billy Boyd, and Dominic Monaghan (“Lost”).
