New character locations debut at Epcot

As part of the historic transformation of Epcot, several popular Disney characters have received new locations where guests can say hi and grab a photo.

We revealed last month where the new locations would be for Mickey Mouse and his friends, and on January 5, 2020, the meet-and-greets inside Character Spot at Innoventions West closed for good with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Joy and Daisy all moving to new areas around Future World (Sadness and Baymax are no longer meeting guests during this time).

See our photos below for a look at where you can now meet these characters, as well as their greeting times.

Mickey Mouse

First announced in November 2019, Mickey Mouse has moved inside the queue for the Disney-Pixar Short Film Festival in the Imagination! pavilion. The meet-and-greet features a giant filmstrip showcasing scenes of Mickey throughout the years.

Minnie Mouse

Minnie Mouse is now greeting guests at the World Showcase Gazebo near the Mexico Pavilion and the Epcot Experience. In the past, this location has featured Duffy the Disney Bear, Pluto and Daisy.

Daisy Duck

Speaking of Daisy, she has moved from the World Showcase Gazebo to a location in Future World East next to the recently-opened temporary Mouse Gear near Mission: Space.

Goofy

Goofy has been moved to the entrance walkway next to the exit of Spaceship Earth and the former location of The Art of Disney.

Joy

Joy is now greeting guests inside the Imagination! pavilion near Wreck-it Ralph & Vanellope in the ImageWorks area. Just like Ralph & Vanellope, Joy enters through The Link and has her own themed backdrop.

As Epcot continues is major transformation, we will report on any changes that may continue to occur. One thing is for sure, we will be seeing lots of walls over the coming year or two.
