‌Introduced on April 5, 2024, as part of Season of the Force, the Star Wars-themed “Fire of the Rising Moons” presents a different view of the Disneyland Park fireworks display, complete with selections from composer John Williams’ scores from the Star Wars saga.

“Ignite the Spark”

Introducing the 13-minute celebration is the storyteller Tohan Lege (also known as the Lore-weaver). Tohan has adopted Black Spire as his home and recorded its history. According to the show’s storyline, Tohan wanted to ensure the stories would endure, so he found an astromech droid and got it working with the help of Droid Depot mechanics. Tohan called the droid Bard, and the two recorded the Lore-weaver’s stories.

During “Fire of the Rising Moons,” Black Spire residents and park guests gather to “honor the heroes and legends who came before them,” the Disneyland description explains. “The skies over Batuu light up in bursts of color [and] iconic music associated with tales from across the galaxy ignites our imagination.”

“Fire of the Rising Moons” will continue performances past the conclusion of Season of the Force.
