New PAW Patrol land opens May 3 at Chessington ahead of Minecraft World
Located just outside London, Chessington World of Adventures is opening a new PAW Patrol-themed land on May 3, 2026. It is the UK’s first and only PAW Patrol® themed land.
Chessington World of Adventures is accelerating its transformation into one of Merlin Entertainments’ most brand-driven parks, opening a new PAW Patrol-themed land on May 3 ahead of the resort’s planned Minecraft World in 2027.
World of PAW Patrol at Chessington World of Adventures
The new family-focused area is being billed as the U.K.’s first and only PAW Patrol-themed land, bringing Nickelodeon’s popular preschool franchise to life through rides, play areas, themed food, merchandise, and hotel accommodations.
Nick Bevan, Vice President at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, said: “We are almost ruff-ruff ready to open the gates and welcome families to our brand-new World of PAW Patrol. Little ones will be able to step straight into Adventure Bay for the very first time in the UK, which is super exciting. We can promise a day full of rides, unforgettable moments, and plenty of high-paws. With the May Bank Holidays and half-term on the horizon, it’s the PAW-fect time to plan a day out jam packed with teamwork, fun and PAW-some surprises.”

Designed for younger guests and families, the land will feature four attractions themed to characters from the series:
- Chase’s Mountain Mission – a junior roller coaster
- Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue – a rocking ride experience
- Skye’s Helicopter Heroes – an aerial spinning attraction
- Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure – the U.K.’s first “Drifter” ride

Three themed playscapes will also be included, along with five PAW Patrol hotel rooms at the resort. The ‘Rubble & Rocky’s Play Zone’ is a hands-on, climbable construction zone where guests can slide, climb, and explore alongside their favourite construction pup.
And the littlest Paw Patrol fans can climb aboard the ‘Flounder Boat,’ where little explorers can help Cap’n Turbot on a high-seas adventure.
Personally, I am so excited for families to head here. My son loved Rubble’s spinoff show when he was younger, so I can imagine how much fun families with young kids are going to have here.

PAW Patrol also translates easily into rides, play areas, merchandise, and hotel experiences, giving Merlin multiple revenue opportunities beyond admission.
Minecraft World will be here too
With Minecraft World not scheduled until 2027, PAW Patrol helps keep momentum at the park now while broadening Chessington’s appeal to younger children and creating reasons for families to return as their kids grow.
The opening continues parent company Merlin Entertainments’ successful use of globally recognized intellectual property across its attractions portfolio, which includes partnerships tied to Peppa Pig, LEGO, and the recently announced Minecraft World coming to Chessington in 2027.
Merlin Entertainments first announced a $110 million investment in “Minecraft”-themed attractions across the U.S. and U.K. in November 2024, without revealing specific locations. The Chessington project accounts for £50 million of that total investment. Merlin has not yet announced where the U.S. “Minecraft” attraction will be located.
Chessington World of Adventures is located about 35 minutes by train from London Waterloo. The park is operated by Merlin Entertainments, which also runs the Legoland resorts, Alton Towers, and Thorpe Park across the UK.
Merlin’s decision to bring PAW Patrol to Chessington underscores the resort’s growing role as the company’s London-area family gateway, using globally recognized brands to drive repeat visitation and short-break stays. With PAW Patrol aimed at younger children and Minecraft World set for 2027, Chessington is building a rare multi-generational lineup designed to keep families returning as kids grow older.
