Readers will learn what it’s like to work for The Walt Disney Company with the new book, “One Day at Disney,” written by Bruce C. Steele.

On a Thursday in 2019, a group of photographers and videographers set out across the globe to go beyond the “Cast Members Only” doors to explore what it’s like on an “ordinary” day at Disney – be it eavesdropping on historic work or typical tasks.

Every photo included in the book was taken on that single Thursday, starting early in Tokyo and following the sun around the world with stops in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris, Madrid, the Bahamas, Costa Rica, and dozens of other places in the U.S. The day ended at Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii, more than 40 hours after the journey began.

On that day, 80 cast members showed their workshops, dressing rooms, kitchens, cubicles, TV studios, labs, locomotive engines, and other surprising workspaces as they told of their childhood dreams, career milestones, and workday hurdles.

Along with this new book, a full-length documentary and 52-part short-form series will debut on Disney+ on Tuesday, Dec. 3 – the same day the book hits store shelves.
