The two new international routes will join more than 60 other international locations already available from Orlando International Airport (MCO), and will be added throughout the year alongside eight other new locations, the airport shared in a press release on Feb. 6.

  • Air France (Paris, France) starting May 21
  • Alaska Airlines (Boise, Idaho) through March 25
  • Breeze (Gulfport, Miss) started Feb. 6
  • Breeze (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) started Feb. 13

This announcement follows the opening of Southwest Airlines’ new international hub at MCO. The change also allows Southwest to increase the number of flights to the Caribbean from two to eight.

The added flights to and from Orlando are representative of the airport’s growth over the last couple of years. Orlando International Airport still remains Florida’s busiest airport with more than 57 million passengers in 2024, which marks an increase of more than 800,000 passengers from 2023’s numbers.

Kevin J. Thibault, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, the organization which manages MCO, noted that the growth “highlights the importance of international travel as a window to the world.”

MCO also reminds passengers planning to travel internationally in 2025 to verify their IDs using REAL ID before taking to the skies — and before the May 7 Real ID roll-out date.

All travelers should note that the REAL ID Act, which incorporates security features into driver’s licenses and identification cards, goes into effect May 7, 2025. Those traveling internationally are encouraged to learn about trusted travel programs such as TSA PreCheck, Global Entry and Mobile Passport Control.
