Papa Johns is bringing Pizza Planet to life with “Toy Story 5” pizzas and pop-ups
Papa Johns is turning Pixar’s most recognizable fictional restaurant into a real-world experience this summer with themed food, collectibles and a few Pizza Planet pop-ups tied to “Toy Story 5.” Plus, a limited-time themed menu just debuted at locations nationwide.

The global campaign includes temporary “Papa Johns Pizza Planet” locations as well as a menu of personal pizzas in themed Toy Story character packaging. It’s the latest addition to “Toy Story 5” merchandise and collaborations popping up ahead of the film’s release.
Pizza Planet pop-ups
Fans can head to Pizza Planet-themed Papa Johns locations in Los Angeles, London, Seoul, and Madrid, transforming the iconic arcade-style pizza restaurant from the Toy Story films into interactive experiences complete with games, themed décor, merchandise, giveaways, and movie references. Reserving a spot in advance is required.

The Los Angeles pop-up will open June 12 at 8180 Melrose Ave. with timed-entry reservations. To promote the Los Angeles pop-up, Papa Johns posted this Instagram reel.

For fans in the U.S., the collaboration extends beyond the pop-ups. The themed personal pizzas are now appearing on Papa Johns U.S. website and app ordering system, confirming domestic availability after earlier press materials focused heavily on Canada and international markets.
The menu includes:
- Space Ranger Roni
- Sheriff’s Round Up
- Reach for the Pie
You can also build custom personal pizzas served in collectible Toy Story 5 packaging with “Rootin’ Tootin’ Ranch” dipping sauce.

The campaign also introduces “Operation Pizza,” described as the company’s first in-app game. The experience launches June 1 exclusively for U.S. Papa Rewards members.
Movie-themed food promotions have expanded well beyond theater concession stands in recent years. Kentucky Fried Chicken just announced their “Supergirl” collaboration. And, collectible popcorn buckets and branded menu tie-ins becoming major parts of blockbuster marketing campaigns.
The recreation of Pizza Planet itself—a fictional location that has appeared throughout Pixar history since the original Toy Story debuted in 1995—certainly stands out.
Here’s hoping the pizza lives up to the Pizza Planet name. “Toy Story 5” arrives in theaters June 19.
