Park Hopper returns to Walt Disney World starting January 2021

The phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort will soon hit another milestone: the return of the Park Hopper option for guests.

Starting Jan. 1, 2021, guests who purchased a ticket or annual pass with Park Hopper benefits will be able to visit more than one park per day, but with a few modifications to align with the resort’s health and safety protocols.

With the updated Park Hopper, guests will have to make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park they plan to visit and enter that park before visiting another. For now, a park reservation isn’t required after the first park, but this is subject to change.

In addition, there will be specific set hours, during which this returning option will be available to guests. Park Hopper hours will start at 2 p.m. each day and end at the park’s scheduled closing time. Guests will soon be able to check park hours online and through the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date Park Hopper hours, as it is possible they could start earlier at a later date, depending on the day and theme park. Park capacity limits will not be changing as a result of this option returning.

Park-to-park bus transportation will be available each day shortly prior to the start of Park Hopper hours. Cast members will verify guests have a ticket or pass with Park Hopper benefits before boarding.

For questions, guests are encouraged to check the Know Before You Go page on DisneyWorld.com, call the Disney Reservation Center, contact their travel agent or reach out to planDisney.
