“Pets on the Promenade” annual celebration returns to Kissimmee’s Promenade at the Sunset Walk Orlando shopping and dining complex, with street entertainment, a Cutest Pet contest, and more.
Animals are always welcome to join their humans for a stroll around the Promenade, but on Jan. 23, they’ll be the stars of the show as Sunset Walk Orlando kicks off its annual “Pets on the Promenade” afternoon of fun in recognition of the special bond between people and their furry companions.
The free event starts at noon and runs thorough 4 p.m., featuring live music, street performers, and treats that will have tails wagging.
If your animal best friend is utterly adorable, enter him or her in Central Florida Lifestyle Magazine’s Cutest Pet Contest, which begins at 12 p.m.
Specialty shop Don’t 4 Get About Me Pet Treats & Gifts at the Promenade Plaza will feature a unique display of treats, promotional gift cards, and more, along with a bulk treat section to stock up on your canine’s favorite culinary incentives. The shop carries items for pet sitters, too.
Bahama Buck’s Original Shaved Ice Company knows animals love an icy dessert as much as their human friends do, so they are offering Pup Sno unflavored “SnoBalls” with whipped cream, designed just for pets.
River Street Sweets Savannah’s Candy Kitchen is famous for their pralines, chocolates, and baked goods, but during “Pets on the Promenade” it keeps the animal-friendly decadence going with Sweet Pink and Blue doggie treats.
Select locations among the Promenade’s 15 dining outlets will also offer discounted “Yappy Hour” pricing, and will have outdoor patios available for pets and their families to enjoy.
Remember to bring a camera to capture a keepsake pet and family photo with the custom backdrop of your choice.
