Pickleball restaurant with courts now open in Orlando
Take a look inside the new Orlando pickleball club and restaurant Crush Yard, which features courts, a bar, and an arcade.

In the same vein as an upscale bowling alley (like Splitsville) or driving range (like Top Golf), there’s a new place to gather for fans of pickleball in the Orlando/Kissimmee area: Crush Yard Pickleball Club & Restaurant.
If you don’t know much about pickleball, it’s sort of like tennis, but on a smaller court. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play; the staff at Crush Yard will help you get started. It is typically played in two-on-two, but can also be played one-on-one.

Crush Yard Orlando offers a way for both pickleball beginners and pros to escape the heat with its indoor courts. The 48,000-square-foot venue (a former Winn-Dixie grocery store) features 10 indoor pickleball courts, an upscale American and international restaurant menu, a full cocktail bar, an arcade, backyard games area, and plush seating.

“We’re thrilled to bring an exciting new space to Orlando so residents and visitors can enjoy the fastest-growing sport in the country,” said Matt Manasse, chief brand ambassador for Crush Yard Pickleball Club.
Court rentals start at $48 per hour and if guests are new to the sport, Crush Yard will provide paddle rentals and balls for a small additional fee. While four people can play at a time, up to eight guests can enjoy a court together. Classes, lessons, leagues, and camps led by Crush Yard’s pro team are also available.

The restaurant and bar have capacity for 150 guests and offer dishes such from fresh salads and hearty bowls, to shareable bites and main courses. Several self-pour “Beer Islands” feature dozens of brews on tap, too.

While everyone is welcome at Crush Yard, members receive additional perks, including members-only open play, discounted food and drinks, early reservations, and more.
Crush Yard Pickleball Club investors include Cole Anthony of the Orlando Magic; Thasunda Duckett, CEO of TIAA; John Zimmer, founder of Lyft; artist Wyclef Jean; and NFL legends Brian Dawkins, AJ Green, and Golden Tate, plus others.
Orlando is Crush Yard’s second location nationwide, with its first location in Mount Pleasant, S.C. (outside of Charleston) and upcoming sites opening in Huntsville, Ala. and Brentwood, Tenn. (outside of Nashville).
Crush Yard Pickleball Club Orlando is located in Formosa Gardens Village on U.S. Highway 192, not far from Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The address is 7840 West Irlo Bronson Highway.
Crush Yard hosts weekly events and is available for private events and parties. For more information, visit crushyard.com.
