Pictures from within Disney's new Bay Lake Tower
The latest addition to Disney’s Vacation Club is called the Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and though it is very much still under construction, we had a chance to walk through the building today and snap a few pictures to bring you on a photo tour.
The new 15-story building is located next to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, just outside the Magic Kingdom. Unique views are certainly a theme in the new tower, with plenty of glass elements featured throughout.
Since there was still plenty of construction going on, pictures were only allowed to be taken in specific areas. While we can’t yet bring you any images of what the bedrooms currently look like (as they had not yet been outfitted with linens), we do have this photo released by Disney:
The three-bedroom unit we toured had a loft design. Downstairs had one bedroom, bath, dining and kitchen. The living room ceiling rose all the way to the second floor, giving the living room room two-story windows that allow for some eye-catching views of the Magic Kingdom. Upstairs were two more bedrooms and a bath. Here’s a shot of the kitchen followed by some of those stunning views:
And to put these images into perspective, here’s a similar photo taken just a few feet back from the large living room windows:
I certainly wouldn’t mind waking up to that view every day.
One of the most photogenic spots around the hotel is the new pool area, complete with plenty of not-so-hidden Mickeys and the backdrop of Bay Lake:
The glass block walls surrounding the water slide are certainly a feast for the eyes.
There is also a rooftop lounge on Bay Lake Tower but construction activity prevented us from going up there today, unfortunately. Inside the lounge will be a bar serving a limited appetizer menu and will most definitely be a fantastic spot from which to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks.
Here is one last picture of the outside of the building, showing its proximity to the Contemporary Resort A-frame and the walkway that connects the two:
Expected opening date for Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is currently August 4.

Thanks for the pics. I really wanted to see the different views before I decided to use the extra points to select a certain view
