Pixar Summer Fest at Hong Kong Disneyland debuts exclusive character moments
From now through August 31, 2026, Hong Kong Disneyland invites guests to tap into their inner child in a park-wide celebration of all things Pixar, featuring beloved characters from the animated movies Toy Story, Up, Inside Out, WALL-E, Cars, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Coco, and more.
Even if you can’t make it to Hong Kong Disneyland this summer, the photos and descriptions are worth a look.

Not only is the event itself new, but many of the experiences are first-time-ever, too, from the headliner “Pixar Pals Spectacular” nighttime show to a high-energy dance party with Red Panda Mei from the movie Turning Red. Miguel from Coco stars in a brand-new musical encounter, and the park even puts a new twist on popular character meet-and-greets at Animation Academy.
New nighttime spectacular and returning entertainment
Eleven themed floats take over Main Street U.S.A. twice daily as the park’s popular Friendtastic! Parade – which debuted in 2025 in honor of Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th anniversary – adds to the Pixar character fest. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy take pride of place at the head of the parade, followed by floats based on the movies Zootopia, Big Hero 6, Toy Story, Monsters Inc., Turning Red, Inside Out, Up, and Encanto, plus a float featuring Duffy the Disney Bear, and the princess-laden Castle of Magical Dreams float.
Pixar Water Play Street Party also returns to Main Street U.S.A., cooling off heat-weary guests with water cannons and squirting hoses, flowers, and Pixar-inspired toys. It’s a splashtastic cavalcade of characters, and who doesn’t want a good drenching from the likes of Woody and Buzz, Joy and Anger, Carl and Russell, or Ian and Barley Lightfoot from the movie Onward.
Prepare to get soaked!

Everyone’s favorite desk lamp, Luxo Jr., and the iconic Pixar Ball kick off an eight-minute pre-show to the park’s ‘Momentous’ nighttime fireworks when Pixar Pals Spectacular takes to the sky and envelops Main Street U.S.A. in a blaze of choreographed drones, pop-up inflatables, and dynamic projection art on the Castle of Magical Dreams and the Main Street U.S.A. facades. Characters from 11 animated movies make this nighttime extravaganza a true Pixar-fest.

Watch for monster Mike Wazowski, baby Jack-Jack Parr, lovable Dug the dog, villainous Zurg, Red Panda Mei, and the ever-emotional Sadness as their inflatables pop up from the rooftops above Main Street, U.S.A.
New Pixar character experiences
Debuting during Pixar Summer Fest, Draw & Meet at Animation Academy teaches budding artists how to sketch Toy Story characters Rex, Lotso, or Bullseye in iconic poses, followed by a meet-and-greet photo op that takes the characters from drawings to real life. Cherish the moment forever with the purchase of a Disney Friends Draw & Meet Photo Folder that holds both the sketch and photo in a colorful Pixar-themed two-pocket folder.
Inspired by Meilin Lee’s obsession for boy-band 4*Town, the “Turning Red” dance party gets guests moving to the beat with Mei (DisneyBounding as Red Panda Mei!) and her best friends in an amped-up street show that is as exuberant as the movie’s “hottest band of the year.”

Miguel adds to his repertoire with new tunes inspired by Coco during this colorful stage show. Vibrant costumes and Day of the Dead symbolism honoring the souls of the dearly departed add to the ambiance, and audience participation brings home the message of unending family unity.
“Brave archers” of all ages are invited to join Merida from the 2012 movie Brave as she gives lessons covering the perfect archery stance, safe (but imaginary) bow handling, and how to hit the bullseye on a target, all skills she learned from her Scottish clan, DunBroch. A photo op with the Highlands’ Princess takes place after each training session.
Characters from Up, The Incredibles, and Inside Out are also on hand at various meet-and-greets throughout the park.
Load up on exclusive “Toy Story 5” merchandise at Andy’s Toy Box in Toy Story Land or the Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. Special accessories include bags, backpacks, plushies, pins, and more, featuring characters from Toy Story 5, due for release on June 19, 2026.
And, when hunger strikes, feed the need with Pixar-themed “eatutainment,” including adorable dim sum in the shape of Forky and the Little Green Men; sweet treats based on Joy and Anger; specialty drinks recalling Mike and Sulley from Monsters, Inc., and, of course, popcorn buckets in the image of Buckeye from Toy Story and Lightning McQueen from Cars. Whether sweet or savory, the lineup of delicious dishes offers the perfect way to fuel up for Pixar’s spectacular Summer Fest.
