Reese’s Cupfusion interactive attraction now open at Hersheypark
Hersheypark in Hershey, Pa. has officially opened Reese’s Cupfusion, a new, interactive gaming attraction featuring the most targets in the world and six ways to play.
“Hersheypark is the only amusement part with a gaming attraction that merges the world’s love of chocolate and peanut butter to create a sweet, full-sensory adventure for the entire family,” said Vikki Hultquist, general manager of Attractions and Entertainment. “We hope our first story-based attraction with multiple ways to play encourages guests to ride Reese’s Cupfusion all year.”
The ride’s mission is for riders to become agents, protect the factory and make sure that the world never goes without Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. The family-friendly attraction is located in the Founder’s Way area of the park, and has a height requirement of 36” (Kisses height requirement and above).
Reese’s Cupfusion will engage riders’ sight, smell, touch, and sound during the course of the ride, with the love for Reese’s at the center of the experience. On the ride, guests will become Reese’s Agent Trainees at Reese’s Central, a futuristic factor that runs on Reese’s Spirit. At the heart of Reese’s Central is the Crystal Cup, which collects the love of chocolate and peanut butter to create the Cupfusion energy that powers the factory.
Riders will help power the factory and stop intruders by aiming their amplifier at fixed targets, moving targets, small and large screens, “Easter Eggs”, and through cooperative group play. Players can try to beat their score with every ride to become a Reese’s Legend in the Hall of Fame.
The mission continues outside the attraction with the Agent Supply Shop at the ride’s exit; the Commander Cup factory game; character meet-and-greets with the Reese’s Cupfusion characters; and new food offerings, including favorites at Chik-Fil-A, Nathan’s Famous, and Kosher food trucks, and brand-new King Size Milkshakes inspired by the attraction at Simply Chocolate dessert shop.
