Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance now open at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World’s most anticipated attraction to date, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is now officially open to guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

This new ride experience blurs the traditional lines of theme park attractions into one entire experience, in which riders are thrust into an intergalactic battle between the Resistance and the First Order.
“Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is the most ambitious, immersive, advanced, action-packed attraction we’ve ever created. We threw out the rulebook when designing this attraction to deliver experiential storytelling on a massive, cinematic scale,” said Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance sets a new standard for what a theme park experience can be – just like Galaxy’s Edge, itself. None of this would be possible without the incredible teams at Walt Disney Imagineering, Disneyland and Walt Disney World, who brought not one, but two award-winning lands to life at the same time.”

The experience begins in the queue themed to a hidden Resistance base on Batuu. Guests will receive their mission from BB-8 and a holo-transmission of Rey before boarding an Intersystem Transport Ship…that eventually gets taken over by the First Order – and that’s where your adventure really begins.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will open at Disneyland park’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on Jan. 17, 2020.
