Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster among new additions for Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom

Disney has announced some new additions to the Fantasyland expansion which is already underway. Look for Goofy’s Barnstormer kiddie coaster to be rethemed and renamed Goofy as The Great Goofini, a Princess Fairytale Hall, and a brand new type of roller coaster with the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

These new additions are to be added to the previously announced Under the Sea: Journey of The Little Mermaid ride and Beast’s castle, which will house the Be Our Guest restaurant and a nearby Belle’s cottage.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will take guests on a musical ride into their mine. The coaster will feature a first-of-its kind ride system with a train of ride vehicles that swing back and forth as they move along the track. The ride will be accompanied by animated figures of Snow White and the Dwarfs.

A current Fantasyland ride, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, will be going away at a future date. Previously announced Fantasyland plans for Disney’s other princesses and fairies will be changed in favor of an all new Princess Fairytale Hall. The princesses will greet guests in a royal court at the location where Snow White’s Scary Adventures is today.

The New Fantasyland will be opening in phases with most new experiences open by 2013. Here’s a video of the media presentation and artists renderings:
