ShopDisney unveils the must-have outfits for a trip on the Galactic Starcruiser
ShopDisney has unveiled a range of new merchandise for the forthcoming Galactic Starcruiser hotel at Walt Disney World, including the must-have outfits for a trip into this new Star Wars world.
The eagerly-anticipated opening of Disney’s immersive resort, which makes its official debut on March 1, has been heralded by a series of “reveals” of the food, attractions, and entertainment aboard the Halcyon spaceship in recent months.
And now the ShopDisney website has given potential Star Wars “cruisers” the first look at the exclusive apparel and other accessories they will be able to buy to accompany their trip to “a Galaxy far, far away.”
The items range from a Padmé Amadala cloak for adults ($149.99) and a Princess Leia dress for adults and children ($124.99 and $99.99 respectively) to Chandrila Star Line gloves (from $16.99 to $19.99 per pair).
The big reveal of the merchandise on offer briefly sent the website into a tailspin as Disney and Star Wars fans made a sudden charge to see the items on offer, but it is available again on the ShopDisney link.
In all, there are 15 items of clothing for sale on the site’s Galactic Starcruiser page, all carefully themed to the space-cruise experience that Disney’s Imagineers have created, with dedicated two-night packages starting at $4,809 for two people.
Among the items that are sure to be must-haves for Starcruiser guests are a Captain’s Jacket for children ($79.99), a Mechanic’s Jumpsuit ($99.99), and a Senator Bail Organa Security Aide Jacket for adults ($149.99).
Other outfits for the voyage include a Saber Training Tunic, Formal Tunics for adults and kids, a Black Dress with Hood for women, and a Security Aide Tunic.
But, while all the items are proudly displayed for all to see on ShopDisney, the Halcyon’s apparel is NOT available for everyone.
A Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser message at the top of the page proclaims: “Log into your ShopDisney account using an email account linked to your StarCruiser reservation to access and purchase exclusive gear.”
