It was recently announced at Coaster Fest that Ultra Surf was coming to Six Flags Over Georgia, and from the description and pictures, it appears to be a very unique, very thrilling ride, offering the unique combination of a roller coaster with a water theme.

Ultra Surf features free-spinning seats in two outward facing circles on a giant board. The seats are ergonomically designed with an over the should lap bar to allow comfort, safety, and a feeling of freedom. The seats are also designed so that each seat creates a different experience. Therefore, thrill seekers will want to experience this one-of-a-kind ride more than once.

The giant board meant for seating on the coaster.

Riders will be launched at 60 miles per hour, with gravity bringing them back down. They will also experience three separate times of feeling weightless. Additionally, there are also four times they’ll be spun in the air.

Ultra Surf will thrill and splash

In addition to the launching, spinning, and weightlessness, riders will experience water effects, including a vertical wave wall with a low cutting splash and a water vortex tunnel that creates a water curtain.

During colder months, the water effects can be turned off, to ensure guests can enjoy this new and unique ride year-round.

Ultra Surf features

Ultra Surf is expected to open in 2024. Prices for admission vary depending on how many days you intend to visit. There are also group tickets, and passholder options. For more information visit the Six Flags Over Georgia website.
