Walk roller coaster lift hills at Six Flags Over Georgia’s Coaster Fest
Six Flags Over Georgia will host Coaster Fest, a weekend of backstage programming and exclusive opportunities, Aug. 19-20, 2023.
Throughout the two-day event, Coaster Fest attendees will “go beyond the steel” to enjoy a full itinerary of coaster-centric activities, including exclusive rides on favorite attractions beyond the park’s regular hours.
The event will also feature behind-the-scenes tours of back-of-house areas like the mechanical shop, a Fright Fest haunted house, and the following rides: Marthasville Train Station, The Riddler Mindbender, The Great American Scream Machine, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis, and Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster. Attendees can reserve their spot for tours in person on each day of the event.
For an additional fee, attendees can walk the lift hills on both Goliath and The Great American Scream Machine (details below.)
Plus, leadership personnel from Six Flags Over Georgia will give Coaster Fest guests a sneak peek at what’s coming to the park in 2024 during a special presentation.
The event ticket includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner on day one, as well as breakfast on day two. Attendees will also receive all-day access to the Coca-Cola VIP Lounge.
Between scheduled programming, guests can participate in the Coaster Fest 5K. No, you won’t be running it — you’ll be riding it! Attendees can ride a combination of coasters whose track length equals 16,404 feet to receive a prize.
Six Flags Coaster Fest Tickets Now Available
Tickets to Six Flags Coaster Fest 2023 cost $70 for the entire weekend. Six Flags Over Georgia park admission is required, but not included, with the event ticket. Park tickets carry a gate price of $79.99 each day, but are currently available online for $30 per day, though you may consider purchasing a 2023 Gold Pass for $59.99 to receive unlimited visits through Sept. 4, 2023, and free parking.
During online check-out, guests can also purchase an event t-shirt for $20 or sign up for lift hill walks to benefit a local STEM program. A morning lift hill walk on Goliath is $30, while a sunset lift hill walk on The Great American Scream Machine is $20.
